2. Installation

Attach the table clamp (5) to the table or the equipment trolley and make sure that it is secure. If you are fixing it to an equip-
ment trolley, make sure that the trolley itself is stable enough. A wall bracket is available for fixing to a wall, if required.
Insert the holding arm (2) into the holding device as shown in Fig. 1 and locate it in the required position with the butterfly
screws. Tighten the butterfly screws, making sure that they are not over-tightened.
Fix the Laser Unit (3) to the metal plate using the supplied round nuts, as shown in Fig. 2.
Please note: Tighten in a counter-clockwise direction.
Connect the holding arm cable to the Laser Unit (3), as shown in Fig. 2.
Connecting the fiber optic cables (FOC) (8):
The FOC (8) are numbered. Remove FOC 1 from the packaging and screw it in to position 1 on the Laser Unit, as shown in Fig. 3.
Make sure that the FOC is not twisted or knotted. (Note the minimum bend radius of 1.5 cm.)
Feed the FOC upwards through the corresponding hole (Fig. 4) and attach it to the front of the acrylic plate (Fig. 5). Then remove
the remaining FOC from the packaging in numerical order and connect them as detailed above, until all 12 FOC are in place (Fig. 6).
FOC should not be kinked or placed under tension. Make sure that the FOC can hang freely and that there is
sufficient space to the floor. Do not tread on the FOC or apply any strong pressure to them.
Only handle FOC using the white holders or the screw threads.
Connect the power supply unit (10) with the holding arm cable and plug it into the mains power (100 VAC - 230 VAC). Take note
of the position of the white arrows on the plugs.
Remove the Control Touch Pad (4) from the docking station (Fig. 7) and insert the rechargeable batteries (7) in the battery com-
partment on the back (Fig. 8). Make sure the batteries are inserted with the correct polarity.
Only use the rechargeable batteries supplied or rechargeable batteries that comply with the definitions given
in the Technical data. On no account should normal batteries should be used.
The use of incorrect rechargeable batteries or normal batteries can cause damage to the equipment.
Close the battery compartment again, refix the Control Touch Pad to the docking station so that it clips into place, connect pow-
er supply unit (9) to the docking station (9) and plug it into the mains power (100VAC - 230 VAC). The unit is now ready for use.
