6.4 Re-rack
1. During the course of a match, each team is allowed two re-racks of the
opponent's cup formation. (Note: A higher number of re-racks can also be
agreed before the start of the match)
2. In a re-rack, care must be taken that the cups are centred in the given
triangle.
3. A re-rack must be announced at the beginning of the turn and can only be
carried out if the exact number of cups for the desired re-rack variant is in
the current turn.
4. Play does not resume until the re-rack is completed.
6.5 Diversionary tactics
Deflection manoeuvres of any kind are allowed (and also part of the game)
as long as neither the table, the cups, the ball or the opposing team are
touched nor the trajectory of the ball is changed by air blasts.
6.6 Defence
1. The defending team may only knock the ball away if it has made contact
with the table or with a cup.
2. If the ball flies into a cup as a result of defending, the cup is considered to
have been hit.
3. If a player of the defending team touches the cup formation and the ball
does not hit a cup, a cup is considered to be hit. The throwing team is free
to choose the cup that has to be taken from the table.
