7.3 Brewed coffee count display

8. Routine maintenance

8.1 Brewing group and portafilter cleaning

1) Release the portafilter from the brewing group, remove the coffee grounds and replace the existing filter
with the blind filter ( without holes ) supplied with the machine.
2) Before cleaning the group, assemble the protection on the portafilter as shown in the photo.
Note:
The filter is firmly inserted inside the portafilter; to remove it, apply force on the sides and pull it out. Do not
remove the snap ring inside the portafilter.
3) Using the brush, clean the housing in the group where the portafilter is inserted.
4) Insert the portafilter in the group and without completely hooking it in, press the continuous brewing
button.
5) Let water overflow from the portafilter. This will clean the brewing group.
6) Stop the water flow and insert the portafilter in the group.
7) Start continuous brewing and then stop after a couple of seconds and repeat this a few times (so that you
clean the drain channel and the solenoid valve of the brewing group) .
8) Clean the perforated filter and place it back in the portafilter. Draw water for a couple of seconds to clean
the filter, the portafilter and spouts.
9) Repeat these operations on all the brewing groups.
