2.3.3. Calibration of the detector
Calibration:
To guarantee that the detector can maintain an optimal light level in all zones, the detector automatically makes an artificial light calibration, when the parameters
in the daylight zones are set.
A temporary calibration will be performed first, and the final calibration will be done, when the lux level is <100 lux and nobody is in the room.
The request of a new calibration is made by setting "Calibrate" to "On" or via IR remote control. Note first when the lux level is <100 lux and nobody is in the
room, then the detector will calibrate.
Simple calibration:
With this calibration, you set 4 parameters per zone:
• Desk Setpoint Light Level (lux): the desired constant light level at desk level in the zone.
• Desk Hysteresis %: the % of change in light, before the value update.
• Desk/Sensor Daylight Proportion: an estimate or even better a calculated proportion value between the light level at a desk in the zone and the light level at
the sensor level in the ceiling. (Value = [Desk Lux / Detector Lux]).
• Desk Max Artificial Light (lux): the light level measured at desk level in the zone with a 100% artificial light contribution.
Advanced calibration:
With this calibration, you set 6 parameters per zone:
• Desk Setpoint Light Level (lux): the desired constant light level at the surface of a desk in the zone
• Desk Hysteresis %: the % of change in light, before the value update.
• Sensor No Artificial Light (lux): the measured light level at the sensor level in the ceiling without artificial lighting.
• Desk No Artificial Light (lux): the light level measured at desk level in the zone without artificial lighting.
• Sensor Max Artificial Light (lux): the measured light level at the sensor level in the ceiling with 100% extra artificial lighting.
• Desk Max Artificial Light (lux): the light level measured at desk level in the zone with a 100% artificial light contribution.
2.3.4. Changing local settings
The local settings of the desired light level and switch-off delay can be adjusted with the IR remote control 350-41930 (to be ordered separately).
3. APPLICATIONS
3.1. General
With the Basic configuration method, you can choose from the following pre-programmed applications, which will be explained below:
• corridors/stairwells
• exhibition premises
• offices/conference rooms
• educational and training premises
• production premises
3.2. corridors/stairwells
Daylight control of up to three zones with automatic on/off via presence detector.
The light is switched on automatically when the presence detector detects movement in the detection area. The lighting is then automatically adjusted according
to the daylight level in the room. As the amount of incident daylight increases, the light in the room is dimmed to the specified light level. If the incident daylight
is adequate in each zone, the lighting turns off.
The light is automatically dimmed to a preset level after a predetermined period when no more activity is detected in the detection area. After a second period,
the light is switched off entirely.
Option: You also have the possibility to manually switch the light on and off or dim using a push button. You can also choose to manually switch on and off or dim
an extra zone. The extra zone itself is not daylight controlled, but rather switches off at the same time as the daylight-controlled zones.
3.3. Exhibition premises
Daylight control of up to three zones with on/off via switch or an on/off signal, e.g. time switch.
The light switches off when the switch is pressed. The lighting is automatically adjusted according to the daylight level in the room. As the amount of incident
daylight increases, the light in the room is dimmed to the specified light level. If the incident daylight is adequate in a certain zone, the lighting turns off in this
