2.3.2. Settings
You can install and address the detector as follows:
1. Download the product details from the product database on our website (www.niko.eu).
2. Start the ETS (e.g. 4 or 5) software.
3. Enter the unique address of the detector. There are three ways of doing this:
• Press the programming button at the bottom of the detector (see Fig. 7).
• Press the programming button underneath the protection cap of the detector (see Fig. 7).
• With the IR remote control 350-41930 (to be ordered separately): press the button 'Lock/Unlock' to unlock the detector, and then press the 'Prog' button
(see Fig. 8).
4. Choose the desired configuration method. You have three options:
1. Basic (see § 2.3.2.1)
2. Optimisation (see § 2.3.2.2)
3. Advanced (see § 2.3.2.3)
2.3.2.1 Basic
You can use the Basic configuration method to have the detector ready for use in a few seconds.
1. Select the desired function of the detector: stand-alone, master or slave. The slave can also be set up to only detect the light level where this is desired.
2. Then select application: corridor/stairwell, office/conference room, exhibition hall, educational or training premises or production facility.
3. Select the number of daylight zones: 1, 2 or 3.
4. Indicate whether an extra manual zone has been installed (e.g. for blackboard lighting).
2.3.2.2 Optimisation
The Optimisation configuration method is used if you wish to set more parameters.

2.3.2.3 Advanced
With the Advanced configuration method, you can set all parameters separately. Below we give an example of the adjustable settings:
• intelligent comfort control
• signal to control blinds/curtains, HVAC
• folding door solution
• orientation light with two levels
• activation of HVAC system, all other functions are blocked
• blocking of IR remote control
• division of the detection area in 3 sectors of 120° with variable sensitivity for e.g. different corridors in office buildings.
