Installation and Setup

Installation

This unit is designed to be operated in a horizontal
position.
You can install the unit onto the back of the
GXD-L52H1 Professional Flat Display Monitor with
the supplied brackets.
Stand-alone horizontal position
As shown in the figure below, install the four supplied
rubber feet to the bottom of the unit.
Installation on the back of a display
Install the brackets on the unit and attach it onto the back
of the display. If you are installing the unit onto the back
of the display, you do not need to install the supplied
rubber feet.

Install one bracket on the bottom of the unit and one on
the rear panel.

Note
When installing the installation space must be secured in
consideration of the ventilation and service operation.
• Do not block the ventilation slots at the left side and
• Leave a space around the unit for ventilation.
• Leave more than 10 cm of space in the rear of the unit
When the unit is installed on the desk or the like, leave
at least 3 cm of space in the left and right sides. Leaving
10 cm or more of space above the unit is recommended
for service operation.

Setup

The VSPA-D7 Management Software is required to
make the various settings that are needed for unit
operation, such as setting the IP address.
For details about how to make the required settings, see
the "Setup Instructions" on the Management Software
CD-ROM.
Rear panel
Remove the cover from the rear left side of the
display.
Provisionally tighten the installation screws
into the installation screw holes.
Place the bracketed unit onto the provisionally
tightened screws.
Install the unit so that the Sony logo faces upward
and the rear panel of the unit faces downward.
Fully tighten the screws to secure the unit.
