Unpacking

Remove all parts of the appliance and the operating instructions from the box .
Remove all packaging material .
WARNING! RISK OF SUFFOCATION!
Do not allow children to play with packaging materials . There is a risk of
suffocation .

Disposal of the packaging

The packaging protects the appliance from damage during transport . The pack-
aging materials have been selected for their environmental friendliness and ease
of disposal, and are therefore recyclable .
Returning the packaging to the material cycle conserves raw materials and
reduces the amount of waste that is generated . Dispose of packaging materials
that are no longer needed in accordance with applicable local regulations .
Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally friendly manner .
Note the labelling on the packaging and separate the packaging material
components for disposal if necessary . The packaging material is labelled with
abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with the following meanings:
1–7: Plastics,
20–22: Paper and cardboard,
80–98: Composites
NOTE
If possible, keep the original packaging during the warranty period so
that the appliance can be packed properly for returning in the event of a
warranty claim .

First use

Before you use the appliance, ensure that . . .
the appliance or its accessory parts are in perfect working condition,
all packaging materials have been removed .

Preparing your hair

Ensure that your hair is free of any styling or care products . This does not
apply to heat protection spray .
Your hair must be dry .
Your hair must be combed and free from knots .
