11.2. VARIA TUBE SYNCRO connection.
The cable supplied with the actuator is 2.5 m long for the 230V SYNCRO version and 2 m for the 24V SYNCRO version, and its size is
calculated in accordance with the relevant safety regulations.
The electrical connection between the communication wires must be made with a screw-type connector (the connector is provided). A
firm, secure connection with a good electrical contact (copper on copper) is essential to prevent interference on communications.
The communication wires must not be more than 10 meters long.
For the wiring, follow the diagrams below.

12. PROGRAMMING THE ACTUATOR

12.1. Programming the VARIA TUBE
Closing limit stop position
The closing limit stop position is automatic and cannot be programmed. The actuator is stopped due to the power absorption which
occurs when the window is completely closed and the seals are completely crushed; the actuator is cut out when a set threshold is
exceeded. After each closure stroke or every time the electronic safety device is tripped, the chain is extended slightly to apply the correct
amount of compression to the seals and release the mechanical components.
During operation, VARIA TUBE actuators automatically recognize and save the distance between the window and the
frame when completely closed. The position difference between the projecting part of the window and the frame is
called the "overlap" and enables the actuator to acquire its own operating parameters by saving the position and the
type of window.
This procedure, called "overlap acquisition" (point 12.3) is performed every time the actuator completely closes the
window after a RESET operation, and is retained in the memory as an operating parameter.
Opening limit stop position
The VARIA TUBE actuator is supplied with the RESET procedure already performed and the maximum stroke set.
The user has only to perform the "overlap acquisition" procedure (point 12.3) and select a shorter stroke if necessary.
IMPORTANT If the actuator is connected to a Tube Lock electromechanical lock, a fresh RESET procedure is required.
If the VARIA TUBE SYNCRO model is used, the RESET procedure and overlap acquisition must be carried out during installation (see
points 12.2 and 12.3), before the required opening limit stop position can be set. The electrical wiring should be checked before starting
the RESET procedure.
If the settings are lost, a new RESET procedure must be performed, followed by overlap acquisition (see points 12.2 and 12.3).
Dip-switches 1 and 2 (see table below) can be set to select one of the 3 (three) chain extended limit stop positions. Programming is user-
friendly, immediate and possible at any time.
