§4.3 - Factorty built panel vans with battery switch (order
ref. S094.3+1)
Unless portable controls are used, the control box for the
HTL is mounted in the side panel of the vehicle [see Fig.
3.6], and the battery switch is mounted in the vehicle
cabin, in clean and dry conditions.
Because of the wide variety of vans on the mar-
ket, it is important to consult the FITTING AND
BODY BUILDING INSTRUCTIONS of the vehi-
cle manufacturer in order to respect the rules for
the electrical hygiene of the vehicle concerned.
Also consult the fitting instructions of DHOLLANDIA with
regards to the specific HTL concerned, and the specific
vehicle concerned (if available). Contact the national
DHOLLANDIA distributor in case of doubt.
§4.4 - HTL without battery switch
HTL should only be mounted without battery switch, if
there is other means, e.g. like a cabin switch to put it out
of service after use [See Pt. 2 and Fig. 4.4]
In this case, the (+) battery cable goes directly from the
main fuse near the vehicle batteries to the incoming pole
of the starter solenoid.
2 configurations are possible:
1. Separate control box without battery switch (option
S008.Z...) [See Fig. 4.4]
2. Exterior controls integrated in the lid of the power pack
without battery switch (= option S516.Z...)
Lead the (+) battery cable coming from the vehicle battery
through one of the free lead-through rubbers in the casing
of the power pack. Connect the eye of the (+) battery ca-
ble to the free pole of the starter solenoid, and lock the nut
tightly. [See Fig. 4.4]
