(on some models)
Possible Causes
The oven controls have
been locked.
This is normal in a new
oven and will disappear
in time.
An odor from the insulation
around the inside of the
oven is normal for the first
few times the oven is used.
When using the convection
feature, it is normal to see
steam coming out of the oven
vent. As the number of racks
or amount of food being
cooked increases, the amount
of visible steam will increase.
A convection fan may
automatically turn on
and off.
Small appliance plug is not
completely inserted in the
convenience outlet.
The backguard is too hot
and the convenience outlet
breaker has tripped.
What To Do
• See the Oven lockout section to unlock.
• To speed the process, set a self-clean cycle for a
minimum of 3 hours. See the Using the self-
cleaning oven section.
• This is temporary.
• This is normal.

with a pause in between.
• Make sure the small appliance plug is properly
inserted.
