1 . Damage to lungs if an effective dust mask is not worn .
2 . Damage to hearing if effective hearing protection is not worn .

2 . Before operating Scarifier, ensure that it is structurally and mechanically safe by checking the following .
a . Are all engine controls and the clutch action functioning within acceptable tolerances?
b . Is the drive belt in good condition?
c . Is the protective rubber skirt in place?
