7. Trouble-Shooting

Fault
Pump is running,
but doesn't deliver.
Pump doesn't start or
suddenly stops during
operation.
Pump runs, but output
suddenly decreases.
For any other malfunctions please contact the GARDENA service department.
Repairs must only be carried out by GARDENA service departments or specialist
dealers authorised by GARDENA.

DANGER! Electric shock!
There is a risk of injury from electric
shocks.
V Before eliminating faults, disconnect the Deep
Well Pump from the mains power supply.
Possible cause
Air cannot escape as the
pressure line is closed.
Priming area blocked.
When starting the pump,
water height falls below the
min. water level.
Non-return valve blocked.
Thermal protection switch
switched pump off due to
overheating.
Power supply interrupted.
Dirt particles are trapped in
priming area.
Priming area blocked.
For Art. 1499 only: Lack of
water: Dry run protection
switched the pump off due to
insufficient water level.
Remedy
v Open pressure line
(e. g. bent pressure hose).
v Disconnect mains plug
and clean priming area
(see 6. Maintenance).
v Immerse pump deeper
(observe minimum water
level: see 9. Technical Data).
v Art. 1499:
Contact GARDENA Service.
v Disconnect mains plug
and clean priming area
(see 6. Maintenance).
Observe max. media
temperature (35 °C).
v Check fuses and electrical
plug-in connections.
v Disconnect mains plug
and clean priming area
(see 6. Maintenance).
v Disconnect mains plug
and clean priming area
(see 6. Maintenance).
The pump is only operational
when it is submerged at least
15 cm.
v Submerge pump at least
15 cm in water.
