Attaching the electrical drive

Allow qualified electricians only to do the electrical installation and the direction of
rotation test.
Check the direction of rotation of the spindle and the motor shaft before attaching the drive
and check that the safety limit switches work. Proceed as follows:
Connect the motor in compliance with electrical regulations.
1. Fig. 9:
Place the motor (1) next to the linear unit where it is to be attached.
2. Switch on the motor and check the direction of rotation in relation to the safety end
switches (if necessary, change the direction of rotation by reconnecting the motor).
3. Fit the coupling half (5) on to the drive shaft of the linear unit.
4. Fasten the motor cage (7) with four screws (6) to the fixed bearing housing (8).
5. Push the gear rim (4) on to the coupling half on the linear unit.
6. Fit the second coupling half (3) on to the drive pins of the motor.
7. Fasten the motor with the coupling half using four screws (2) on to the motor cage (7).
Ensure that no axial forces act on the motor shaft. If necessary, correct the spacing of
the two coupling halves.
