Important safety instructions

Prevention of accidents
Make sure that the appliance is correctly
connected to the right power supply.
Make sure that the appliance is correctly installed
as described in these instructions.
Young, old and disabled persons are not always
aware of the hazards which may arise when
using electrical equipment. For this reason you
should never allow anyone from these categories
to operate the appliance unsupervised.
Never use the appliance near bath-tubs, showers
or wash-basins.
Do not place any objects over the air grilles.
Keep a gap of at least 50 cm between the
appliance and the nearest wall.
Close the curtains or adjust the blinds
accordingly during the sunniest periods.
Keep the air filter clean. Under normal conditions
the filter should be cleaned once a month.
Shorter cleaning intervals may be necessary
under certain circumstances, however, because
the air filter is designed to trap even small
particles of dirt. It is strictly prohibited to operate
the appliance without a filter.
To begin with, set the fan speed to HIGH and the
thermostat to maximum cooling. Later you can
set the fan to LOW and the thermostat to the
temperature of your choice.
Further points to note:
Never use this air conditioner with an extension
cable or an auxiliary plug connector which is
connected to another appliance.
In cooling mode the warm exhaust air has to be
conveyed outdoors through the pipe. A hole in
the wall or window is needed in order to use the
supplied exhaust set.
Always pull out the power plug when the
appliance is no longer in use or when you want to
carry out any maintenance work.
Avoid bringing the appliance into contact with
chemicals.
Maintenance and repairs are to be left strictly to
qualified electricians or air conditioning
specialists.
