Maintenance
This unit is designed for lasting operation.
During start-up the operator should check if all indicators
and displays light up.
If the operator correctly shuts down (Chapter 4.3.3) at
the end of his shift, no additional maintenance is
required.
This unit is not to be opened by the operator, apart from
the instructions hereafter.
6.1
Storage
When the unit will be stored for a several weeks or longer,
prepare the unit correctly:
• Shut down the unit properly, refer to Chapter 4.3.3.
• Remove the threaded shaft from the balancer.
• Apply a light, non-corrosive oil onto all threads,
spacers and cones.
• Wrap oiled items in paper to keep the parts dust
free.
Note:
When the unit will be put into use again,
clean all oiled parts.

6.2 Changing the main fuse

Refer to Figure 6.2-1.
• Set the switch on the back of the unit to the OFF
position.
Mains power only:
• Unplug the power lead from the unit socket.
• Unplug the power supply unit from the mains socket.
Battery power only (optional):
• Remove the battery from the unit.
• Use 2 flat, small screwdrivers to lift the Input
panel.
Note: The panel is mounted with Velcro tape. The fuse
is visible on the power supply board, the small
board situated at the side.
• Replace the fuse with an identical rated one.
• Fit all parts to return the unit back to its original
state.
