CLEANING AND STORAGE

The probe head is the most sensitive part of the NUK Flash Thermometer, so always treat
it with particular care. Never touch the reflective mirror or sensor lens inside. To prevent
contamination, always store the thermometer with its protective cap on. In order to be able
to guarantee accurate temperature measurement, the sensor lens and the reflective mirror
must always be clean. If deposits can be seen on the reflective mirror, you can clean it
together with the sensor lens. To do so, use a cotton wool bud slightly (!) moistened in a
residue-free solution of water and alcohol to rub carefully over the reflective mirror and, if
required, the sensor lens. To clean the housing, wipe it over with a cloth.
Do not immerse the device in water or expose it to direct moisture. Avoid the
reflective mirror steaming up.
