Operation

Caution!!! The information described in this chapter
only relates to use of the VORTICE Code 12829
POT-R regulator. Operation is possible with other
potentiometers provided they have the following cha-
racteristics:
1 - Resistive value 10kOhm
2 - Integrated or external switch
Fans are turned on by means of a switch integrated
into the potentiometer. Start from the stand-by posi-
tion on the knob and turn it clockwise. You will hear
a click when the switch closes and then, when the fan
is switched back on, you will hear a brief buzzer tone
accompanied by a quick ignition of the LED.
The speed setting is continuous. Up to about half the
potentiometer scale, product operation is on ventila-
tion; from half to full scale, it is in reverse. Fan passa-
ge to reverse is highlighted by two short buzzer tones
and two quick ignitions of the LED, while the reverse-
to-ventilation passage is highlighted by a brief buzzer
tone and a quick ignition of the LED (fig.39).
The area of hysteresis (fig.40) corresponds to the
maximum speed during operation in ventilation mode
and the minimum speed in reverse mode.
Shut-down occurs by completely rotating the knob in
the counter-clockwise direction. A long buzzer tone
and a long LED ignition will indicate shut-down.
The product can be remotely operated by means of
the VORTICE Code 21200 TELENORDIK ECO
remote control
