BABBOE LUGGAGE CARRIER SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
A.
Please make sure that the type of luggage carrier and the type of cargo bike that you possess are compliant
to one another. If you are unsure about this, please contact the Babboe Customer Service or the Babboe
Dealer. They can provide you information on the type(s) of cargo bikes for which the luggage carriers are
intended and vice versa.
B.
In case the luggage carrier is not installed on the cargo bike, please use the screws that are supplied with
the luggage carrier. All screws must be tightened with a torque of 6-8 Nm.
C.
The maximum load capacity of the luggage carrier is 25 kg. This is the total capacity of the luggage carrier
and will include the load of the battery in case the battery is mounted in the carrier. All batteries have a
maximum weight of 4kg.
It is allowed to add a certified child seat to the luggage carrier. Please follow the instructions of the child
seat supplier to do so.
D.
The total permissible load of the bicycle should not be exceeded.
E.
Any fasteners that will be used on the luggage carrier are to be secured and checked frequently.
F.
Luggage can only be safely carried on the luggage carrier.
G.
Do not modify the luggage carrier.
H.
The luggage carrier is not designed to pull a trailer.
I.
The bicycle may behave differently (particularly with regard to steering and braking) when the luggage carrier
is loaded.
J.
Ensure that any luggage or child seat fitted to the luggage carrier is securely fitted in accordance with the
manufacturer's instructions and that there are no loose straps that can get caught in the wheel.
K.
The positioning of reflectors and lamps must be such that these are not obscured when luggage is attached
to the luggage carrier.
L.
Distribute luggage evenly between the two sides of the luggage carrier.

Please make sure that the wheel size and tyre of the cargo bike are compatible with the luggage carrier.
If you are unsure about this, please contact the Babboe Customer Service or the Babboe Dealer.
N.
Information containing the name and address of the manufacturer, importer or representative, trademark,
model and production batch number or reference can be found on the labeling of the luggage carrier.
