Cause
Is the mains cable plugged
properly in the socket?
Is the switch set to ON?
Does the motor not start
when paper is fed in?
Was the device in constant
operation for some time?
Is the surface of the device
warm?
Have you inserted
more than
6 sheets (406.2CCD)
15 sheets (416.4CCD)
Has the paper not been
inserted straight in the in-
feed slot?
The unit recognizes over-
load (too many sheets of
paper) and sets to Re-
verse-mode
The container is full and
must be emptied.
The unit was opened, in
order to empty the contai-
ner
Remedy
Plug the mains cable into
the socket properly.
Set the switch to ON.
The lamp Power shines.
Push the paper into the in-
feed slot so that it touches
the sensor in the centre.
Pull out the mains plug
from the socket and allow
the motor to cool down to
room temperature.
Push switch REV
to push back the paper.
Release Switch REV
to shred the paper remai-
ning in the cutting unit.
The unit sets to reverse-
mode and pushes paper
back. You can hold back re-
maining paper
Empty the paper-can.
Close the unit.
