Old devices must not be disposed of with household waste!
This symbol indicates that this product must not be disposed of together with domestic waste in compliance with the
Directive (2012/19/EU) pertaining to waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). This product must be disposed
of at a designated collection point. This can occur, for example, by handing it in at an authorised collecting point for
the recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment. Improper handling of waste equipment may have negative
consequences for the environment and human health due to potentially hazardous substances that are often contained in
electrical and electronic equipment. By properly disposing of this product, you are also contributing to the effective use of
natural resources. You can obtain information on collection points for waste equipment from your municipal administration,
public waste disposal authority, an authorised body for the disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment or your waste
disposal company.

Quill returns too slowy or too quickly

Problem
Spring has improper tension
Dirt, grease or oil on the tapered inside
surface of the chuck or on the spindle's
tapered surface.
1. Incorrect belt tension
2. Dry spindle.
3. Loose spindle pulley
4. loose motor pulley.
No "backup material" behind work piece.
Not supported or clamped property.
1. Incorrect speed.
2. Chips not coming out of hole.
3. Dull drill bit
4. Feeding too slowy
1. Hard grain in wood or lengths of cutting
lips and/or angle not equal
2. Bent drill bit.
1. Work piece pinching drill bit or excessive
feed pressure.
2. Improper belt tension.
1. Bent drill bit
2. Wom spindle bearings
3. Drill bit not properly installed in chuck.
4. Chuck not properly installed.
Remedy
Adjust spring tension. See "Quill return
spring".
Using household detergent, clean the
tapered surfaces af chuck and spindle
ta remove all dirt, grease and oil. See
"Installing the chuck".

2. Dublicate spindle. See "Dublication"
3. Check tightness of retaining nut on
pulley, and tighten if necessary
4. Tighten set screw in motor pulley
Use "backup material". See "Positioning

Support work piece or clamp it. See

1. Change speed. See "Choosing

2. Retract drill bit frequently to remove
chips.
3. Resharpen drill bit.
4. Feed fast enough ta allow drill bit to
cut.
1. Resharpen drill bit correctly.
