Drilling the centring hole
14
15
NOTE
The diamond core drill bit can become blunt or
damaged due to overheating.
The feed may only be as high as the diamond
core drill bit can wear away the material. You
must therefore not exert too large a force on the
diamond core drill bit and avoid canting.
A suitable dust extractor must be connected to the
dry diamond drill.
Mark the hole centre.
7
Switch off the machine's soft impact feature.
NOTE
Switching the soft impact feature on or off while
the machine is running can cause damage to the
machine.
Wait for the machine to completely stop.
Switch the dust extractor to continuous
operation.
Always hold on tight to both handles of the
diamond drill with two hands.
14
Position the centring pin (2) on the marked
hole centre (1) with light pressure.
The diamond core drill bit must not touch
the stone!
NOTE
The ON / OFF switch must not be locked for hand-
held drilling.
Switch on the diamond drill by pressing the
15
ON / OFF switch (3).
Drill until the diamond core drill bit is centred
14
approx. 5 – 10 mm deep in the wall.
NOTE
To avoid damage to the diamond segments, do
not switch off the diamond drill until the rotating
diamond core drill bit has been completely
removed from the masonry.
15
Pull the diamond core drill bit out of the
centring drill hole and release the ON/ OFF
switch (3), to switch off the diamond drill
After the diamond core drill bit has come to a

WARNING
Risk of injury due to falling drill cores.
Î If drilling openings through objects, always
check the rooms below or behind and block off
the danger zone. Use formwork to secure the
drill core against falling.
Leave the dust extractor connected to the
extraction tube switched on.
NOTE
Switching the soft impact feature on or off while
the machine is running can cause damage to the
machine.
Wait for the machine to completely stop.
6
Switch the machine's soft impact feature
on depending on the material to be drilled (see
page 40).
Feed the diamond core drill bit into the pre-
centred hole.
15
Switch on the diamond drill by pressing the
ON / OFF switch (3).
