Mounting/dismantling the extraction

The extraction tube must be fitted for dry

drilling to enable a suitable dust extractor to be
connected.

For wet drilling, the extraction tube is replaced
with the BAIER wet adapter.
DANGER
Risk of injury due to electric shock.
Î Disconnect the mains plug before carrying out
any work on the diamond drill.

Dismantling the extraction tube:

Press the spring clip (1) in the direction of the
arrow (A) until the legs of the clip unlatch from
the groove of the gearbox extension.

Remove the extraction tube (2) from the
front (B) above the output shaft (3).

Mounting the BAIER wet adapter
DANGER
Risk of injury due to electric shock.
Î Protect the machine against splashing water.
Check the O-Ring on the gearbox extension for
damage and if necessary replace with a new
O-Ring. Do not use the drill with a damaged
O-Ring.

Check the O-Ring (3) on the gearbox
extension (4) for damage and if necessary
replace.

Press the spring clip (2) on the BAIER wet
adapter (1) in the direction of the arrow (A) until
the legs of the clip unlatch from the groove of
the BAIER wet adapter (1).
Push the BAIER wet adapter (1) up to the

limit stop on the gearbox extension (4).

Press the spring clip (2) in the opposite
direction to the arrow until the clip legs latch into
the groove of the gearbox extension (4).
For wet drilling, connect a suitable water supply
(e.g. BAIER water pressure vessel, see Tools
and Accessories in the BAIER catalogue).

For wet drilling, connect suitable water
extraction (e.g. BAIER special dust extractor,
see Tools and Accessories in the BAIER
catalogue).

Switching the soft impact feature on

and off
NOTE
Switching the soft impact feature on or off while
the machine is running can cause damage to the
machine.
Wait for the machine to completely stop.
Switch the drill's soft impact feature on or off,
depending on the material to be drilled:
Drilling with soft impact feature is
recommended for drilling in concrete and other
hard materials.
Drilling without the soft impact feature is
recommended for drilling abrasive materials and
materials with a lower hardness and for centring
in hand-held mode and for spot drilling drill
stand mode.

Switching on the soft impact feature:
Pull the diamond core drill bit towards the

front and hold tight. Press the side of the soft
impact switch marked green (1).

Switching off the soft impact feature:

Pull the diamond core drill bit towards the
front and hold tight. Press the side of the soft
impact switch marked black (1).
