Frama Access B300
Place a few letters on the feed table, unfanned, with all cutting edges flush against the back wall.
The motor starts running automatically (photocell (7) covered). The letters are automatically
drawn in, opened and then restacked in the letter collector (4). Place the rest of the letters on
the feed table in succession. The motor switches off automatically after the last letter is opened.
Feed in bulky letters individually by hand. Where necessary, first move the letter collector (4)
further away from the letter opener.
Switch off the letter opener after opening all the letters (place the mains supply switch (1) to
position "0"/diode (5) goes out).
Note!
If the motor should cut out due to a letter jam, proceed as follows:
First, switch off letter opener (mains supply switch (1) to position "0").
Carefully remove the jammed envelope.
Switch letter opener on again (mains supply switch (1) to position "1"/diode (5) lights)..

5. Stoppages

Proceed as follows in the event of stoppages when opening envelopes due to paper from already
damaged envelopes:
Switch off the letter opener (place mains supply switch (1) to position "0").
Remove the mains supply lead from the mains supply connection (3). Insert a suitable object
(eg. a small screwdriver) carefully trough the opening (8) at the back of the appliance, at the
same time pushing the cover (2) of the cutter approx. 5 mm to the left.
Take off the cover towards you. Carefully remove paper remnants.
Introduce the cover (2) with the three retainers back into the three openings (10) and push it to
the right until it engages. Place the letter opener back in operation.

6. Changing the fuse

If the diode (5) does not light in spite of the appliance being switched on (mains supply switch (1) at
position "1") and correct mains supply connection (3), change the fuse as follows:
Switch off letter opener (mains supply switch (1) to position "0").
Remove the mains supply lead from the mains supply connection (3).
Push up the catch (11) under the fuse holder (12) at the back of the appliance and withdraw the
fuse holder.
Change the blown fuse for a new T 2.0 amp fuse.
Push the fuse holder (12) back in until the catch engages.
Place the letter opener back in operation.
If the diode (5) still does not light, notify your local Frama sales organisation.
