2.3 Servicing by a qualified professional
The procedure for descaling the water heater is as follows:
1. Cut the appliance's power supply.
2. Loosen the screws and remove the cover.
3. Disconnect the power cable from the terminals on the thermostat then the earth
wire connected to the tank.
4. Disconnect the heating element's connector on the power board.
5. Disconnect the red wire's connector and unscrew the blue wire's terminal.
6. Unclip the board holder by:
- tipping it forwards for a vertical wall-mounted model
- unclipping it from the notches of the covering for a vertical on pedestal or
horizontal wall-mounted model
