Regulating the illumination light in the camera head
To brighten the camera image, you can switch on the
light (9) in the camera head and regulate the brightness.
There are 4 settings for adjusting the brightness (0 %, 25 %,
50 %, 100 %).
To switch on the camera light (9) and increase the bright-
ness, press the lighting/brightness button (4) repeatedly un-
til the required brightness level has been reached.
Do not look directly into the light (9) and do not direct
u
the light onto other people. The light can blind your
eyes.
To reduce brightness and switch off the camera light (9),
press the lighting/brightness button (4) repeatedly until the
required brightness level has been reached or the light has
been switched off.
Magnifying the image in the display (zooming in)
Briefly pressing the magnification button (6) magnifies the
image in the display by a factor of 1.5 or 2.
Black and white button
By briefly pressing the black and white button (3) button,
you can switch the display between colour rendition and
black and white rendition. Black and white rendition can im-
prove the contrast, for example.
Compass View with reference point (Up-Indicator)
(see figure D)
Pressing the black and white button (3) for a long time
opens Compass View (e). In this view, the yellow reference
point (Up-Indicator) shows where up is physically located in
the image.
Note: Limited function if mirror (18) is fitted and/or with a
vertically aligned camera cable (7)
Status bar
The status bar (a) is shown on the display for approx.
2 seconds each time a button is pressed. It shows:
– The selected magnification (b)
– The selected brightness (c)
– The state of charge of the batteries (d)
Working Advice
Check the environment that you want to inspect, paying par-
ticular attention to obstacles or hazardous areas.
Bend the camera cable (7) so that the camera head can be
easily introduced into the environment to be inspected.
Carefully introduce the camera cable.
Adjust the brightness of the camera illumination light (9) so
that the image is easily recognisable. When photographing
highly reflective objects, for example, you can achieve better
results in lower light.
If objects to be inspected look blurred, then reduce or in-
crease the distance between camera head (8) and object.
