Assembly
Inserting/changing the batteries
Using alkali-manganese batteries is recommended to oper-
ate the inspection camera.
To open the battery compartment cover (12), press the
locking mechanism (13) and lift open the battery compart-
ment cover (12). Pull out the battery compartment (11) and
insert the batteries. When inserting the batteries, ensure
that the polarity is correct according to the illustration on the
inside of the battery compartment (11). Push in the battery
compartment (11) as far as it will go and close the battery
compartment cover (12).
If the state of charge of the batteries is low, the
will first appear in the display. When the battery symbol is
empty, you have to replace the batteries because inspec-
tions are no longer possible.
Always replace all the batteries at the same time. Only use
batteries from the same manufacturer and which have the
same capacity.
Remove the batteries from the inspection camera

when not using it for longer periods. The batteries can
corrode and self-discharge during prolonged storage.

Fitting the camera cable (see figure A)
For operation of the inspection camera, the camera
cable (7) must be fitted on the handheld device (1).
Push the connector of the camera cable (7) onto the camera
connection (14) in the correct position until it clicks into
GIC 120
place.

To remove the camera cable (7), press the locking

fitted on the camera head (8) as accessories.

Keep the handheld device (1) and the batteries dry

and protect them from direct sunlight. The camera
cable and camera head are watertight if assembled cor-
rectly. However, the handheld device and the batteries
are not protected against water. If they come into contact
with water, there is a risk of electric shock or damage.
Do not use the inspection camera if the lens on the
u
camera head (8) has fogged up. Switch the inspection
camera on only if the moisture has evaporated. The in-
spection camera may otherwise become damaged.
The switched-on light (9) can become hot during oper-
u
ation. To avoid burns, do not touch the light.
Do not subject the inspection camera to extreme tem-
u
peratures or variations in temperature. For example,
do not leave it in a car for extended periods of time. In
case of large variations in temperature, allow the inspec-
tion camera to adjust to the ambient temperature before
putting it into operation.

Switching On and Off
To switch on the inspection camera, press the On/Off
button (2). The start screen is shown in the display (5) for a
short time.
Note: If the camera cable is not fitted when switching on, the
display will show an error message.
To switch off the inspection camera, press the On/Off
button (2) again.
If no button on the inspection camera is pressed for approx.
20 minutes, then the inspection camera will automatically
switch itself off to preserve battery life.
