11.2 Establishing 1-bit communication links MPS
The communication lines for use within the system are shipped loose and have to be plugged in.
Communication connections between the stations have to be set up in accordance with the following
example. The example has been kept general but it is applicable for all stations. Any deviations from this
standard will be pointed out.
Note:
For a combination of MPS
cable instead of the existing optical sensors. This adapter cable is included in the scope of delivery.
For the description, refer to Chapter 11.3.
Example with I/O plug connections between control consoles: connect the Q4 and GND sockets of the downstream station to the I6 and
GND sockets of the upstream station.
All components, tubing connections and cabling are clearly identified, so that all of the connections can be
readily restored.

Layout
The connecting cable is used for communication between the MPS
The one-way light barrier transmitters and receivers are used as StationLink.
The connecting cable is connected to the MPS
communication sensors.
