Models: KWL EC 200 Pro R / KWL EC 200 Pro L
KWL EC 200 Pro removes contaminated air and replaces it with fresh filtered and heated
outdoor air. Efficient filtering of outdoor air (G4 + F7) prevents harmful particles from en
tering the ductwork and rooms via the unit. Good filtering of extract air (G4) diminishes the
contamination of the unit and ensures proper operation of heat recovery and the extract
air fans.
With an effective counter-current heat exchanger, most of the heat of contaminated extract
air can be transmitted to outdoor air coming inside. The efficiency of KWL EC 200 Pro
depends on the temperature of extract and outdoor air, the humidity content of extract and
outdoor air and the air flow volume of extract and supply air. The adjacent examples show
the efficiency of supply air in KWL EC 200 Pro in two different sets of circumstances.
The unit features an automatic heat recovery bypass function, which eliminates needless
heating of outdoor air during summer. The automatic defrosting of the heat recovery cells
intermittently stops the supply air fan when the temperature of exhaust air goes under the
set threshold value. To avoid or to decrease the stopping of the supply air fans, you can
heat supply air with an electric preheating radiator.
If you want to use preheating, you need to change the preheating setpoint for KWL EC 200 Pro (see the instructions
for use and maintenance, page 15, Section 1.3.24).
KWL EC 200 Pro can be controlled with the control panel delivered with the unit (3 control
panels at most) or with optional carbon dioxide sensors (5 at most) and humidity sensors
(2 at most).
The unit can also be controlled via remote monitoring with a voltage signal. In case of
disturbances, a potential-free relay point signal is issued.
Ventilation control
The unit can be fully controlled with the control panel delivered with the unit or with an
optional LON converter KWL-EB (EIB-RS485).
Furthermore, demand controlled ventilation can be adjusted with optional carbon dioxide
and humidity sensors.
The fan power of the unit can also be controlled with a voltage / current signal.
Ventilation control with control panel
The control panel can be used for the following ventilation control functions:
• Starting and stopping.
• Power adjustment (8 positions).
• Setting of speed (rpm) and of maximum air flow capacity. The air exchange capacity can
not be set less than the fan basic air flow capacity. If the CO
is activated, the air flow capacity can not be set higher than the maximum fan air flow
capacity. If the CO
– and humidity control are not activated, the air flow capacity of the
2
fan can be set to speed step 8.
• Air flow capacity control to be set via clock timer.
Ventilation power cannot be set lower than the basic fan speed. When carbon dioxide and/or
relative humidity adjustments are activated, power cannot be adjusted higher than the
maximum fan speed.
When humidity and carbon dioxide adjustments are switched off, fan speed can be raised
to position 8.
Preheating
• Setting the control temperature for the preheating unit (-6 °C...+15 °C exhaust air).
• Changing the setpoints.
There may be three control panels at most. When two or more control panels are used, the
most recent control function is valid.
