4. ASSEMBLY
FITTING THE HANDLE (Figs. 3)
Fit the handle onto the shaft arm and secure it
using screws (A). The handle position is calculated
depending on the requirements of the operator.
MOUNTING AND DEMOUNTING ATTACHMENTS
(FIG.4)
Mounting:
- Loosen coupling (E) by turning knob (C) counter-
clockwise;
- Align attachment tab (B) with channel (A) in
coupling (E);
- Fit attachment tube (D) into coupling (E) as far
as broken line (F);
NOTE To facilitate the procedure rotate the
attachment cutting tool to engage the drive shaft
with the fitting. Check to ensure there is no dirt
or debris in the coupling;
- Tighten knob (C) fully by turning it clockwise.
Demounting:
Release the coupling by turning knob (C) counter-
clockwise and remove the attachment.
Approved implements
The following implements can be coupled to the
engine unit:
• Brushcutter implement: D-BC
• Pruner implement: D-PP
• Hedgetrimmer implement: D-HC
• Blower implement: D-BV
• Extension implement

5. STARTING

FUELING
WARNING: Gasoline is an extremely
flammable fuel. Use extreme caution when
handling gasoline or fuel mix. Do not smoke or
bring any fire or flame near the fuel or the unit.
WARNING: Fuel and fuel fumes can
cause serious injury when inhaled or allowed
to come in contact with the skin. For this
reason observe caution when handling fuel
and make sure there is adequate ventilation.
