Programming the Drive Control

Normally, the drive control is already pre-programmed correctly. You
can re-programme it in a few steps. Reprogramming can be necessary
e.g. when the drive starts moving even though the throttle (fig. 1, pos.
13) on the transmitter is in the neutral position and the trim control
cannot be moved far enough to make proper adjustments.
The in-built electronic drive control has a set-up button (see circle in
figure on the right), which allows the programming of the middle setting
and the full acceleration position for forwards and reverse for the
transmitter's throttle lever.
This setting is already pre-programmed by the manufacturer, but can
(if required) be adjusted by you.
To do this, proceed as follows:
• Position the vehicle so that the drive can turn freely and the wheels
are not in contact with the ground/floor. Do not reach into the drive
during programming!
• Turn on the transmitter, connect the battery pack to the vehicle and
switch the vehicle on (slide switch to "ON").
• Let go of the throttle lever on the transmitter so that it is in the neutral position and put the motor trim control in middle
position (fig. 1, pos. 10). It is possible that the motor/drive will now start running.
• Briefly press the set-up button on the drive control.
• A beep tone can be heard and the LED on the drive control flashes once, the neutral setting is saved. The motor/
drive is now switched off and the drive control is in programming mode.
• Now move the throttle lever to full-throttle forwards (pull throttle lever towards the handle) and hold it there (the motor
does not start running because the drive control is still in programming mode).
• Briefly press the set-up button on the drive control. Two beep tones can be heard and the LED on the drive control
flashes twice, the full acceleration setting is saved.
• Now move the throttle lever on the transmitter to full throttle reverse (push the throttle lever away from the handle)
and keep it there.
• Briefly press the set-up button on the drive control and release the lever shortly afterwards, so that it moves back to
the neutral setting; otherwise the drive will start running.
• Three beep tones can be heard and the LED on the drive control flashes three times, the full reverse setting is
saved. Programming is finished, programming mode is exited.
• Carefully check the new programming to see whether the vehicle reacts as desired to movements of the remote
control throttle lever.
If the reverse function (see chapter 7, pos. 4) is activated on the transmitter and the brake does not
function as intended (correct reaction of the vehicle to lever (13) movements see chapter 9. j), a
reprogramming is required, as described above, once the reverse switch has been corrected.
