towards where the Remote does not work. A Digital Volt Meter (G5030) will assist by identifying a drop in
voltage. Use Joint Clamps (G6030) to ensure good wire connections.
5. The "ON/Standby" light is not flashing on the Energizer. If it is, this means there is high electrical interference
on the fence causing the Energizer to ignore the Remote Control signal. Refer to "Remote Control electrical
interference" section above.

Low Battery:
When the battery is low, the energizer will automatically switch to Battery Save Mode (pulse every 2.7 seconds) to
conserve power.
Battery Save Mode:
Battery life can be extended with Battery Save Mode (pulse every
2.7 seconds) via switch 1 on the back of the energizer. Mains/
battery light will always flash between red and green.
Battery Protection:
The energizer automatically protects the battery from deep discharge by disconnecting the battery when it is flat.
(Deep discharge may cause permanent damage to your battery). The battery will be automatically reconnected when
the battery voltage increases.
It is not recommended to leave the battery charger permanently connected to the battery.

IMPORTANT
During charging, place lead acid batteries in a well-ventilated area. Do not obstruct the battery vents at any
time.
Use only rechargeable batteries. Do not connect to batteries of any other voltage (eg. 24/36V).
HANDY HINT
Only use a battery which is suited to back-up or cyclic applications. The recommended type is a 12V deep cycle lead
acid rechargeable battery.
For improved battery life, keep the battery fully charged and protect it from temperature extremes. The Energizer will
not recharge a battery that has been completely discharged. The Energizer trickle charges the battery, so that the
battery's charge is maintained. Test the battery every 6 months.
Charging the battery:
When battery is flat, it can be recharged by a mains battery charger or solar panel, while the battery is connected to
the Energizer.
A solar panel can be used in conjunction with a battery to ensure your battery is kept charged and can be used to
recharge flat batteries.
