Commissioning
1. Fully unwind the mains cable.
2. Insert the plug in a duly installed 230 V~, 50 Hz socket.
3. Press the On/Off button (3) briefly to turn the appliance
on.
NOTE:
The appliance always starts with the last selected setting.
This is shown on the display (2).
4. Select a temperature between 50 °C and 200 °C:
• With the " " button you can reduce the temperature
by 10 °C each time.
• With the " " button you can increase the tempera-
ture by 10 °C each time.
NOTE:
• The display (2) lights up blue if you increase or decrease
the temperature.
• The display (2) lights up red while the device is heating
up or cooling down.
• The display (2) lights up green as soon as the set tem-
perature is reached.
General Use
• Select the desired temperature as described above.
• The device must be used only for dry hair.
• Take a strand of hair and pull it carefully downwards until
it is taut.
• The remaining hair should be put up or fixed in place.
• Before the halves are pressed together for approx. 5
seconds, we recommend that you ensure that the hair is
positioned correctly. Always begin at the base of the hair
and move the device in the direction of the hair tip.
• In order to produce a uniform appearance it is important
that the next strands fall in one line.
Switch-off
• Press the On/OFF button (3) to turn the appliance off.
• Remove the mains plug.
• Leave the device to cool before putting it away! Place the
device on its side.
Safety Switch-Off
This device features a safety switch-off. In case you forget to
switch the unit off after use, it automatically turns off approx.
60 minutes after the last time a button was pressed.
Cleaning and care
WARNING:
• Before cleaning remove the mains lead from the
socket.
• Under no circumstances should you immerse the
device in water for cleaning purposes. Otherwise this
might result in an electric shock or fire.
CAUTION:
• Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
• Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
• Clean the casing with a soft, dry cloth – without any ad-
ditional cleaning agents.
• The heating surfaces can be cleaned with a slightly damp
cloth. If necessary you can use a commercial dish washing
detergent.
• Dry the heating surfaces off thoroughly each time they
are cleaned!
