When the keypad is connected to the sys-
tem, the functions of the labeled keys are
available.
Keys can be freely assigned when the
CHERRY Tools software has been
installed.

1 Device connection
1.1 Connecting the keypad to
the USB port
1 Connect the USB plug to any USB con-
nection on your system. You can also
use the USB connection of a device that
is connected to the system.
2 Follow the instructions on the screen.
1.2 Connecting the keypad to
the PS/2 port
The device also supports connection to
the PS/2 port of the PC. A commercially-
available USB to PS/2 adapter is required
here (not included in scope of delivery).
1 Turn off the system.
2 Insert the USB plug of the device into
the USB to PS/2 adapter (not included
in scope of delivery).
3 Connect the PS/2 plug to the corre-
sponding socket in the system.
4 Turn the system on again.
2 Software
CHERRY Tools
The software CHERRY Tools is subject to
constant development. The latest version
is available on the Internet under:
www.cherry-world.com.
The direct help is a component of the soft-
ware. It provides you with information on
operation where you need it. It is called up
via F1.
The configuration is not saved in the key-
board, but rather as a file on the PC.
3 Cleaning the device
CAUTION: Damage may be
caused by harsh cleaning
agents or liquids in the device
• Do not use solutions such as gasoline
or alcohol and scouring agents or
scouring foam for cleaning.
• Avoid allowing fluids to enter the
device.
1 Moisten a soft cloth with a mild clean-
ing agent. Example: Dish detergent.
2 Remove soiling from the surface of the
device.
