■ Wait until the white signal lamp "Heating ON" [6-3] goes off.
Notice!
After pressing the yellow signal button, the white signal lamp "Heat-
ing ON" [6-3] lights up until the required water temperature has been
reached. This can take up to 15 min., depending on the outside temper-
ature.
Notice!
The main air valve must be opened slowly. If it is opened too fast, wa-
ter from the tank can be entrained with the influx of air and land in the
breathing air pipe.
■ Open the main air valve [4-22] slowly.
■ Use the adjusting nut of the pressure regulator [4-4] to adjust the op-
erating overpressure from 4 to 5.5 bar, checking at the pressure gauge
[4-3].
■ Connect the required number of breathing protection hoods.
■ Adjust the required pressure at the air regulator on the belt, depending
on the required air flow.
■ Run SATA AB1 for approx. 10 minutes. Then check the air temperature
and relative humidity of the breathing air. If the results are not satisfac-
tory, please proceed as follows.
Situation
Inadequate breathing air flow.
Breathing air too moist or water
precipitates in the breathing air
pipe.
Breathing air too dry.
Breathing air temperature too high,
breathing air humidity sufficient.

Corrective action
Increase pressure at adjusting nut
[4-4] or at the belt unit.
Increase pressure in tank at adjust-
ing nut [4-4] or reduce water tem-
perature at thermostat [4-25].
Reduce pressure in tank at adjust-
ing nut [4-4] or increase water tem-
perature at thermostat [4-25].
Reduce water temperature at ther-
mostat [4-25], and if necessary,
reduce pressure in tank at adjust-
ing nut [4-4].
