air warmer.
9.5. Setting the breathing air supply
Notice!
The protective function of the breathing protection hood is only reliably
assured when the following criteria are satisfied.
Variant 1
■ Pressure gauge [1-13] must be checked before every use, particularly
when a paint spray gun is used at the same time. The pressure gauge
must be in the green range at all times during use (if the pressure
drops below the minimum working pressure, i.e. the pressure gauge
is in the red range, a whistling sound must be heard); increase the
working pressure, if necessary (see chapter 7).
Variant 2 and 3
■ The minimum working pressure at the filter unit [2-9], [3-11] must be
min. 4 bar; if the working pressure drops below this value, a whistling
sound must be heard; increase the working pressure, if necessary
(see chapter 7).
Notice!
The belt unit is equipped with an air control valve / SATA air warmer
[1-14], [2-12], [3-14]. This air control valve / SATA air warmer allows a
demand-independent breathing air supply to be set.
■ Open the shut-off valve on the air connection.
■ Set the breathing air supply at the air control valve / SATA air warmer.

10. Maintenance and repairs

The following chapter describes the procedures for maintenance and re-
pair of the breathing protection hood. Maintenance and service work may
only be carried out by specialist personnel.
10.1. Replacing the activated charcoal absorber (variant 1)
Notice!
After a period of operation of max. 3 months, the activated charcoal
absorber [1-7] has to be replaced. The actual period of operation can be
seen from the date clock on the protective basket.
■ Close the shut-off valve on the air connection.
