Pull the strap ends until the half-mask is fi rmly applied to the face. Adjust upper
and lower bands, if necessary readjust the bands until the half-mask fi ts comfor-
tably and fi rmly onto the face.
3.5 Impermeability tests before use (Optional)

Negative pressure test
Obstruct both respiratory fi lters with your hands and inhale until a vacuum results.
Stop breathing briefl y. The vacuum should remain, otherwise: tighten bands.
Beards or low-lying cheek bones can impair the required tight seat of the half-
mask - danger of poisoning! Use is only permissible with a leak proof half-mask
and build-in respiratory fi lters.

Over-pressure test
Obstruct the expiration valve of the half-mask and exhale fi rmly. The half-mask
may not lift itself off the face. If respiratory air escapes by means of the sealing
frame, tighten the bands.

mask - danger of poisoning! Use is only permissible with a leak proof half-mask
and build-in respiratory fi lters.
3.6 Assembly and examination
Visual examination inhalation diaphragm: Disassemble inhalation diaphragm and examine
visually. Assemble inhalation membrane behind the fi xing pin. The inhalation valve membrane
should lie evenly on the sealing area within the mask.

Visual examination expiration membrane
Remove mask cap from the mask. Grasp the edge of the expiration membrane
and pull out. Check valve seat for contamination and damages, if necessary
clean. Press the examined expiration membrane into the valve seat until it enga-
ges. The membrane should lie evenly and fl at.
Completing the half-mask
Arrange the head bands, attach the mask cap to the mask body by fi rst connecting it to the nose
area, and then by pressed fi rmly on the expiration air valve area until it engages completely. The
head bands may not be crinkled during this procedure.
Attention: Do not press against the thin bars of the exhalation valve. Risk of breakage! Check
headbands for free movement after unlacing.
4. Maintenance

4.1. Cleaning and disinfection

The mask can be easily dismantled without tools for cleaning purposes or
to replace defective parts. The half-mask must be thoroughly cleaned after
each use to remove interior perspiration and condensation.
Use the half-mask respiratory protection cleaner, Order No.134965 for
correct disinfecting.
