readjust the half mask so that it fits comfortably and firmly to your face.
9.4. Leak test before use
Vacuum test
■ Seal off both breathing filters [6-1] and [6-2] with your hands and
breathe in until you have generated a vacuum.
■ Hold your breath briefly. The vacuum must be maintained.
■ If the vacuum is compensated, the half mask needs to be adjusted.
Adjust the half mask
■ Pull both ends of the head strap [5-2] and [5-4] until the half
mask [5-3] fits tightly to your face.
Overpressure test [7]
■ Seal the exhaling valve [1-4] with one hand and breath out firmly.
■ The half mask may not be lifted from your face.
■ If the overpressure escapes at the rubber seal, the half mask needs to
be adjusted.
Adjust the half mask
■ Pull both ends of the head strap [5-2] and [5-4] until the half
mask [5-3] fits tightly to your face.

10. Maintenance and repairs

The following chapter describes the procedures for maintenance and
service work to the half mask. Maintenance and service work may only be
carried out by specialist personnel.
10.1. Replace breathing filter
Remove breathing filter
■ Turn breathing filter [2-1] in the opposite direction to the arrow [2] and
remove from the half mask [2-2] .
Insert breathing filter
■ Fit breathing filter to the half mask [2-2] so that the line markings on
the breathing filter and the half mask match [1.].
■ Carefully turn the breathing filter in the direction of the arrow [2.] as far
as it will go [3.].
■ Replace the second breathing filter in the same way.
■ Enter installation date of breathing filters in label on hygiene box
10.2. Replace pre-filter
■ Release and remove filter holder [1-7] from breathing filter [1-5] .
■ Take old pre-filter out [1-6] and discard.
