DESCRIPTION
Small diameter full sphere dome suitable for
indoor and outdoor installations.
The particular design allows for its camouflage in
ordinary lighting systems. Easy to install, this
model allows housing 1/2", 1/3" and 1/4"
cameras equipped with fixed-focus lenses or small
zoom lenses and some types of speedy pan & tilt
motors. The dome is mounted with cable channel
inside the fixing wall or ceiling bracket.
A wide range of accessories is available, such as
adapting plates for different models of speed
domes and network cameras; thermostatically
controlled and ventilated PTC heater kit; camera
power supply; sunshield.
INSTALLATION
All operations should be carried out with the
power supply disconnected.
Undo the screw (1) on the ring round the
transparent dome (fig. 1). Turn the ring anti-
clockwise until the cover opens, taking great care
not to scratch it.
Install the optional accessories, if present, as
indicated in the appropriate paragraph.
Attach the camera (2) to the bracket (3), placing
the insulating plate (4) between them, and fasten
with the screw and washer (5) supplied (fig. 2).
Loosen the screws (6) on the sides of the support
(7) and regulate the height by adjusting the
keyhole slots (8) until the centre of the lens (2) is
aligned with the screws themselves, following the
direction of the 2 arrows (fig. 3). Incline the
camera as required and tighten the screws (6).
The camera is adjusted sideways by turning the
support (7); to do this adjust the fastening screws
(9) near the plate (fig. 4).
Installing of the accessories
This paragraph describes how to use the
accessories supplied separately from the housing.
The heater consists of a PTC element fitted with a
thermostat, coupled with a fan used to improve
hot air circulation inside the container. The power
supply unit is indispensable when the power
supply voltage of the camera is different from that
Small diameter full sphere dome and accessories
of the heater. The heater is supplied already
assembled.
When the power supply voltage is 230/VAC,
24VAC or 12VDC the circuit will be connected by
the terminals shown in the diagram in fig. 5, fig. 6
or fig. 7 respectively. It is possible to take off the
power supply for the camera from the prepared
terminal E, F or G respectively for 230VAC,
24VAC or 12VDC power supplies. Always take
care to make sure the type of power supply is the
same for both camera and heater.
If it is necessary to use a power supply unit,
connect the terminals shown in fig. 8 with the
power supply distributed by terminals E, F or G
indicated in fig. 5, fig. 6 or fig. 7 respectively.
Attach the support with heater (10) and power
supply (12) onto the attachment plate using the
supplied screws (11 and 13, fig. 9 and fig. 10).
Installing of the speed domes
and network cameras
The dome housing is designed to hold several
types of speed dome or network camera.
These are fitted with their own quick-coupling
attachment plate, which is not supplied by
Videotec and which should be attached to the
plate inside the housing.
After opening the cover, connect the heater (if
present) and the power supply to the correct

paragraphs.
Attach the heater block and the quick-coupling
plate to the plate inside the housing, using the
screws supplied.

couplings, after consulting the appropriate user's
handbook.
Closing the housing
To close the housing slide the 3 pins on the ring
inside the keyhole slots on the Plexiglas dome so
that the holes for the safety screw are not
aligned. At this point insert the same 3 side-pins
on the ring into the grooves in the housing body.
Turn the ring clockwise as far as it will go, until
the holes for the safety screw on the dome, the
ring and the housing body are aligned. Attach
