Further details for armourers and repairs
If during testing of the weapon, the S1 LED does not light
up, check the point of circuit interruption. By touching the
the blade or guard with the tester probe P, the S2 LED
should light up to indicate that the Rpa and Rpb are less
than 1Ω.

SABRE parameters
The parameters for the SABRE test are as follows
(see Ch. 6):
• P07 – SABRE closed circuit
• P08 – SABRE probe resistance
• P09 – SABRE leakage

BODYCORD test

5.6
Connect the bodycord to the connectors provided in
the section "BODYCORDS" of the device.
Select "BODYCORD test" by pressing the key
[BodyCord etc.]. You may need to press the key
more than once in order to find your selection. To
change the type of display, press [BODYCORD]
again. All 4 types of display described in par. 5.2
can be utilized.
The main value Rmax is the maximum value of the
three connections Raa', Rbb', and Rcc'.
In particular, if the bodycord does not have crossed
connections, the right-hand side of this display will

show the possible leakage resistances (in the
example here below, a leakage is indicated
between "b" and "c").
If the bodycord's connections are crossed, the
right-hand side of the display will show lines
representing the connections, and in the left-hand
side of the display these resistances will be shown
flashing.
In the example above a crossed connection
between a-b' and b-a' is shown: the Rab' and Rba'
resistances are flashing.
• If the bodycord is steady, the green B1, B2 and
B3 LEDs should light up to indicate the proper
continuity of the conductors (Raa' < 1Ω, Rbb' <
1Ω, Rcc' < 1Ω).
• If the bodycord has crossed connections, the
respective red LEDs will flash alternately.
• If the bodycord has only the "a" and "b"
connections crossed, the corresponding green
LEDs will also flash to indicate that this bodycord
can be used for the sabre.
• If an isolation leakage occurs among the
bodycord conductors, the corresponding red
LEDs (B4, B5, B6) will flash. This signal will occur
if the Rab, Rac or Rbc resistances are less than
450Ω.
• If

connectors and cables, the red LED (B4, B5 or
B6) of the conductor involved will light up for at
least 1 second in indication of the problem. The
device will also emit an acoustic signal.
