REEL+CABLES test

Connect reel, floor cable and bodycord to the
predisposed connectors in the "BODYCORDS"
section of the device.
Select
"REEL+CABLES
pressing the key [BodyCord etc.].
The test has the same procedures as the
BODYCORD
test,
parameters.
5.8.1
REEL+CABLES parameters
The parameters for the REEL+CABLES test are as
follows (see Ch. 6):
• P12 – REEL+CABLES resistance
• P13 – REEL+CABLES leakage

EPEE+CABLES test

This test lets you check the entire circuit, from the
signaling device to the weapon, and includes the
floor cable, reel, bodycord and the weapon itself.
Select
"EPEE+CABLES
pressing the key [BodyCord etc.].
The test must be carried out in the piste, by
disconnecting the 3-pin plug inserted in the
signaling device and by inserting it in the TESTER-
A2 in one of the two provided connectors for
weapons.
The procedure for carrying out this test is the same
as that for the "EPEE test"( see par. 5.3).
The threshold values are given by the sum of the
values set for "EPEE test" and for "REEL+CABLES
test" (P01+P12; P02+P12). The threshold value for
isolation leakage is that set for "EPEE test" (P03).
To set these parameters, see Ch. 6.

Please note: to carry out this test you will need the
optional accessory art. 899-11 (Weight 500g for
TESTER-A2), to be connected to an a-b-c
connector.
Select "T-SHIRT test" by repeatedly pressing the
key [BodyCord etc.]. The test is similar to the
JACKET test, (see Ch. 5.7), with a few differences.
For this test the analog bar display with two
thresholds (parameters P15 and P16) is available.
Further details for armourers and repairs
The P17 parameter "Weight sensitivity" defines the
maximum interruption time of conduction which is allowed
without the signaling of abnormalities. Decreasing this
parameter increases the sensitivity to interruptions.
5.12.1 T-SHIRT parameters
The
analog
correspond to the P15 and P16 parameters set in
the Programming Menu (see Ch. 6).
• P15 – T-SHIRT – Rlow
• P16 – T-SHIRT – Rhigh
5.12.2 Using the weight
Pass the weight over the surface of the conductive
the
t-shirt checking that the green and red LEDs on the
weight light up:
• only the green LED lights up to indicate the
proper continuity of fabric (Rtsh < 15Ω);
• both LEDs light up to indicate a poor continuity of
the
fabric (15 < Rtsh < 25Ω);
• neither LED lights up, indicating an insufficient
continuity of fabric (Rtsh > 25Ω); the device will
emit an acoustic signal each time the weight
passes over an area of the fabric where
resistance is greater than 25Ω.
