1 - INTRODUCTION

1.1 Functions and use of the Operator Instruction Book

To ensure the safety of the operator and avoid damage to persons or property in general, it is essential that the contents of the
manual are read in full and properly understood before proceeding to use the machine.
The purpose of these instructions is to describe the operation of the machine and ensure it is used safely, economically and in
accordance with statutory regulations. Observing the instructions will help to avoid risks, minimize the cost of repairs and work
stoppages, and prolong the life of the machine.
The Operator Instruction Book must remain intact, presentable and legible in its entirety; every operator entrusted with the use
of the machine or responsible for its maintenance must know where the book is kept and be able to consult it at any time. If the
Shaker is lent, hired or given for whatever reason to other persons, be certain the recipient is also given the manual to read
before using the machine.

1.2 Symbols and operator status

The various man-machine interactions described on these pages must involve only persons identifiable according to the direc-
tions of the manufacturer. Every operation described will be accompanied by a symbol indicating the operator best equipped to
