3 Verwendungsmöglichkeiten
Die Linienstromüberwachung wird zur Überwachung
von Lautsprecherlinien und Verstärkerausgängen
in 100-V-ELA-Beschallungsanlagen eingesetzt. Es
können maximal 8 Verstärker und zwei Reservever-
stärker angeschlossen werden. Ist ein Verstärker
nicht eingeschaltet bzw. fällt er aufgrund eines tech-
nischen Defektes aus, wird der Reserveverstärker
automatisch auf den Ausgang geschaltet. Als Feh-
lermeldung blinkt die LED AMP FAULT (4) und ein
Alarmsignal ertönt.
Zusätzlich können die Lautsprecherlinien auf
einen Kurzschluss gegen Erde überwacht werden.
Tritt ein Kurzschluss auf, blinkt die LED GROUND
FAULT (1) und ein Alarmsignal ertönt.
4 Gerät aufstellen
Das Gerät ist für den Einschub in ein Rack (482 mm/
19") vorgesehen, kann aber auch als Tischgerät ver-
wendet werden. Für den Rackeinbau wird eine Höhe
von 2 HE benötigt (2 Höheneinheiten = 89 mm).
5 Anschließen der Linienstromüberwa-
chung
Alle Anschlüsse sollten nur durch eine qualifizierte
Fachkraft und unbedingt bei ausgeschalteter ELA-
Anlage sowie ausgeschalteter Linienstromüberwa-
chung vorgenommen werden!
Die Schraubklemmen lassen sich zur besseren
Handhabung aus ihrer Steckverbindung vom Gerät
abziehen und nach dem Anschluss anschließend
wieder aufstecken.

The wires in the mains lead of the power supply unit
are coloured in accordance with the following code:
green/yellow = earth
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug,
proceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured green and yellow
must be connected to the terminal in the plug
which is marked with the letter E or by the earth
symbol
, or coloured green or green and yel-
low.
2. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black.
3. The wire which is coloured brown must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.
Warning - This appliance must be earthed.
3 Applications
The line current monitoring unit is used for monitor-
ing speaker lines and amplifier outputs in 100 V PA
systems. It is possible to connect 8 amplifiers and 2
spare amplifiers as a maximum. If an amplifier is not
activated or fails due to a technical defect, the spare
amplifier will automatically be switched to the output.
The LED AMP FAULT (4) will flash as an error mes-
sage and a buzzer will sound.
In addition, it is possible to monitor the speaker
lines for a short circuit to ground. If a short circuit
occurs, the LED GROUND FAULT (1) will flash and
a buzzer will sound.

schlussbeispiel: Vier Verstärker und ein Reserve-
verstärker sind in der Gruppe A an einer Signal-
quelle angeschlossen.
Hinweis
Die Verstärker und die Reserveverstärker müssen
für die gleiche Lastimpedanz und Ausgangsleis-
tung ausgelegt sein.
5.1 Konfigurationsmöglichkeiten
5.1.1 Eine Gruppe mit bis zu 4 Verstärkern und
1 Reserveverstärker
1) Es können vier Signalquellen mit Linepegel an
die Schraubklemmen SIGNAL INPUT (12) ange-
klemmt werden. Soll die Gruppe von einer Sig-
nalquelle gespeist werden, die vier Eingänge
SIGNAL INPUT (12) miteinander verbinden.
2) Die vier Verstärkereingänge der Gruppe an die
Schraubklemmen AMPLIFIER INPUT (13) und
die Ausgänge an die Schraubklemmen AMPLI-
FIER OUTPUT (19) anschließen.
3) Den Eingang des Reserveverstärkers an die
Schraubklemmen SPARE AMPLIFIER INPUT
(11) und den Ausgang an die Schraubklemmen
SPARE AMP OUTPUT (17) der Gruppe an-
schließen.
4) Zusätzlich die Anschlüsse SPARE AMPLIFIER
INPUT (11) der beiden Gruppen miteinander ver-
binden.
5) Damit die angeschlossenen Verstärker und Laut-
sprecherlinien überwacht werden, müssen die
Tasten RESET (5) ausgerastet sein. Wird eine
Gruppe nicht vollständig genutzt, die Taste RE-
SET (5) der nicht benutzten Kanäle hinein-
drücken.
6) Die Taste IN (7) der Gruppe einrasten, die LED
FAULT SIGNAL (8) leuchtet.
4 Setting up the Unit
The unit is designed for installation into a rack
(482 mm/19"), however, it can also be used as a
table top unit. For rack installation, a height of 2 rack
spaces is required (2 rack spaces = 89 mm).
5 Connecting the Line Current Monitor-
ing Unit
All connections should be made by qualified skilled
personnel. For this purpose, always switch off the
PA system and the line current monitoring unit!
To facilitate handling, it is possible to remove the
screw terminals from their plug-in connections on
the unit and to reinsert them after connection.
Figure 3 on page 3 shows an example for
connection: In group A, four amplifiers and a spare
amplifier are connected to a signal source.
Note
The amplifiers and the spare amplifiers must be
designed for the same load impedance and output
power.
5.1 Possibilities for configuration
5.1.1 A group of up to 4 amplifiers and 1 spare
amplifier
1) It is possible to connect four signal sources with
line level to the screw terminals SIGNAL INPUT
(12). If the group is to be supplied from one sig-
nal source, interconnect the four inputs SIGNAL
INPUT (12).
2) Connect the four amplifier inputs of the group to
the screw terminals AMPLIFIER INPUT (13) and
the outputs to the screw terminals AMPLIFIER
OUTPUT (19).
3) Connect the input of the spare amplifier to the
screw terminals SPARE AMPLIFIER INPUT (11)
and the output to the screw terminals SPARE
AMP OUTPUT (17) of the group.
5.1.2 Zwei Gruppen mit bis zu 8 Verstärkern und
2 Reserveverstärker
1) Es können je Gruppe vier Signalquellen mit
Linepegel an die Schraubklemmen SIGNAL
INPUT (12) angeklemmt werden. Sollen die
Gruppen von je einer Signalquelle gespeist wer-
den, jeweils die vier Eingänge SIGNAL INPUT
(12) miteinander verbinden.
2) Die acht Verstärkereingänge der Gruppen an die
Schraubklemmen AMPLIFIER INPUT (13) und
die Ausgänge an die Schraubklemmen AMPLI-
FIER OUTPUT (19) anschließen.
3) Die Eingänge der Reserveverstärker an die
Schraubklemmen SPARE AMPLIFIER INPUT
(11) und die Ausgänge an die Schraubklemmen
SPARE AMP OUTPUT (17) der Gruppen an-
schließen.
4) Damit die angeschlossenen Verstärker und Laut-
sprecherlinien überwacht werden, müssen die
Tasten RESET (5) ausgerastet sein. Wird eine
Gruppe nicht vollständig genutzt, die Taste RE-
SET (5) der nicht benutzten Kanäle hineindrücken.
5) Die Tasten IN (7) der beiden Gruppen einrasten,
die LEDs FAULT SIGNAL (8) leuchten.
5.1.3 Zwei Gruppen mit bis zu 8 Verstärkern und
1 Reserveverstärker
1) Es können je Gruppe vier Signalquellen mit Line-
pegel an die Schraubklemmen SIGNAL INPUT
(12) angeklemmt werden. Sollen die Gruppen
von je einer Signalquelle gespeist werden, je-
weils die vier Eingänge SIGNAL INPUT (12) mit-
einander verbinden.
2) Die acht Verstärkereingänge der Gruppen an die
Schraubklemmen AMPLIFIER INPUT (13) und
die Ausgänge an die Schraubklemmen AMPLI-
FIER OUTPUT (19) anschließen.
3) Den Eingang des Reserveverstärkers an die
Schraubklemmen SPARE AMPLIFIER INPUT
(11) und den Ausgang an die Schraubklemmen
SPARE AMP OUTPUT (17) einer Gruppe an-
schließen.
4) In addition, interconnect the terminals SPARE
AMPLIFIER INPUT (11) of the two groups.
5) For monitoring the connected amplifiers and the
speaker lines, unlock the buttons RESET (5). If a
group is not completely used, lock the button RE-
SET (5) of the channels which are not connected.
6) Lock the button IN (7) of the group, the LED
FAULT SIGNAL (8) will light up.
5.1.2 Two groups of up to 8 amplifiers and 2
spare amplifiers
1) For each group, it is possible to connect four sig-
nal sources with line level to the screw terminals
SIGNAL INPUT (12). If the groups are to be sup-
plied from one signal source each, interconnect
the four inputs SIGNAL INPUT (12).
2) Connect the eight amplifier inputs of the groups
to the screw terminals AMPLIFIER INPUT (13)
and the outputs to the screw terminals AMPLI-
FIER OUTPUT (19).
3) Connect the inputs of the spare amplifiers to the
screw terminals SPARE AMPLIFIER INPUT (11)
and the outputs to the screw terminals SPARE
AMP OUTPUT (17) of the groups.
4) For monitoring the connected amplifiers and the
speaker lines, unlock the buttons RESET (5). If a
group is not completely used, lock the button RE-
SET (5) of the channels which are not connected.
5) Lock the buttons IN (7) of the two groups, the
LEDs FAULT SIGNAL (8) will light up.
5.1.3 Two groups of up to 8 amplifiers and 1
spare amplifier
1) For each group, it is possible to connect four sig-
nal sources with line level to the screw terminals
SIGNAL INPUT (12). If the groups are to be sup-
plied from one signal source each, interconnect
the four inputs SIGNAL INPUT (12) in each case.
2) Connect the eight amplifier inputs of the groups
to the screw terminals AMPLIFIER INPUT (13)
