Charging and replacing the battery

The CLIPLANS SICO 4004 is supplied with power by means of a single Li-ion rechargeable
battery. The operation time of the device is 52 hours.
Insert a charged battery into the CLIPLANS SICO 4004 before using it.
The battery indicator provides information on the charge of battery when starting the
CLIPLANS SICO 4004. A low battery will cause the red indicator to light up.
The battery can be easily replaced in the track.
NOTE: No safe short circuit between the rails may be assumed as long as the
white signal LEDs are not flashing! Be careful when working in the track!
To replace the battery, loose the lid screw and open the lid of the battery compartment, which is
located on the bottom of the monitoring unit.
The battery is placed inside the compartment and can be removed easily by turning the
housing.
Even though no water can enter the interior of the monitoring unit trough the battery
compartment, the flat side of the monitoring unit shall be placed bottom down. Ensure that no
dampness, humidity, dirt or foreign objects enter the battery compartment while replacing the
battery. During operation do not place the monitoring unit on a ground, which is likely to become
wet.
Only use the stated battery types, which are supplied by Signal Concept GmbH.
The company's address can be found on page GB-12.
A battery charger, if not provided, can be ordered at the same address (page GB-12). Only use
the battery charger recommended. A reliable functioning under the stated weather conditions
and the stated operating times can not be guaranteed for batteries of manufacturers other than
the stated. Damages to the monitoring unit may not be excluded. In this case no warranty
claims will be accepted.
The battery can be charged within a few hours provided that the recommended battery charger
is used.
The operating time of the charged battery cannot be stated precisely as
it depends on the intensity of the signal LEDs, which is controlled by the ambient light sensor
and adjusted to the intensity of the ambient light.
