any residual vapour. Engage the child lock by pushing the locking bottom on the left side.
Remove the power plug from the socket. Never pull on the cord, but always on the plug.
Wait a few minutes so that the appliance and fl oor cleaning cloth can cool off. Please
note that when you stow the appliance, a wet area may form under the fl oor
nozzle. Afterwards, you can change the fl oor cleaning cloth.
9. If the water tank is empty and any steam is no longer produced, turn off the appliance
with the On/Off switch; the control light will turn off. Push down the steam trigger to
release any residual steam and pressure until no more steam is emitted. Engage the child
lock by pushing the locking bottom on the left side. Disconnect the mains plug from the
socket and wait until appliance has cooled off. Fill the water tank (see chapter "Start-up",
section "Filling up the water tank").
10. Once the cleaning process is completed and the appliance has cooled off completely, use
the On/Off switch to turn off the appliance; the control light will turn off. Push down the
steam trigger to release any residual steam and pressure until no more steam is emit-
ted. Engage the child lock by pushing the locking bottom on the left side. Disconnect the
mains plug from the socket and wait until appliance has cooled off.
11. Empty the water tank. Only screw the water tank cap closed once the inside of the
water tank has dried.
12. Take the fl oor cleaning cloth off of the fl oor nozzle and wash it out (see chapter "Clean-
ing and storage").
13. Store the appliance upright in a cool and dry place.
14. Prior to using the appliance again, the water tank should always be checked for residual
water and be completely emptied if necessary.

Use as a hand steam cleaner

1. Prepare the appliance as described in the chapter "Start-up", section "Mounting acces-
sory nozzles".
2. Fill the water tank with water (see chapter "Start-up", section "Filling up the water
tank").
3. Insert the mains plug in a properly installed socket that is easily accessible.
4. Press the On/Off switch.
5. As soon as the appliance is connected to a socket and it has been activated with the On/
Off switch, the control light and heating control light will illuminate. The heating control
light turns off after approximately 10 minutes once the appliance has reached the operat-
ing temperature.
6. Disengage the child lock by pushing the bottom on the right side.
7. Pushing the steam trigger will emit steam from the fl oor nozzle. Move the fl oor nozzle
slowly back and forth across the surface to be cleaned and push down the steam cleaner
as needed.

with the On/Off switch; the control light will turn off. Push down the steam trigger to
release any residual steam and pressure until no more steam is emitted. Engage the child
