3. Make sure that all moving parts
have come to a complete stop;
4. Remove the ignition key;
WARNING
Always leave the machine in a shaded
area or in a sheltered environment,
at a temperature below +35°C.

8. ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

8.1 GENERAL INFORMATION

DANGER
The safety regulations to follow are described
in chap. 2. Strictly comply with these
instructions to avoid serious risks or hazards.
Before conducting any inspections,
cleaning or maintenance/adjustment
interventions on the machine:
1. disengage the cutting means;
2. stop the machine;
3. make sure that all moving parts
have come to a complete stop;
4. remove the key;
DANGER
Never leave the key in the ignition or within
reach of children or unauthorised persons.
5. read the relevant instructions;
6. Use suitable clothing, protective
gloves and goggles.
The frequency and types of maintenance are
summarised in the "Maintenance Table". This
table will help you maintain your machine's
safety and performance. It summarises the main
interventions to be made and the frequency
applicable to each of them. Carry out the relevant
intervention according to the first deadline.
The use of non-genuine and/or incorrectly
assembled spare parts and attachments
could adversely affect machine operation
and safety. The manufacturer shall
decline all liability in the event of injuries
or damages caused by such parts.
Genuine spare parts are supplied by authorised
assistance workshops and dealers.

8.2 BATTERY

8.2.1 Battery power reserve

The battery autonomy (and
therefore the lawn area
that can be worked before recharging)
is mainly depending on:
A. Working factors, producing a
higher energy consumption (e.g.
cutting thick, high, wet grass).
B. Operator behaviour that should be avoided:
• switching the machine on and off
frequently whilst working;
• setting a cutting height that is too
low for the lawn conditions;
• working at a speed that is too high in relation
to the amount of grass to be removed.
C. Environmental conditions, such as high
environmental temperature exceeding +35°C.
To optimise battery life
it is always advisable:
• to cut the grass when the lawn is dry;
• to cut the grass frequently so
that it doesn't grow too tall;
• to set a higher cutting height when
the grass is very tall, then set a lower
height and cut the lawn again;
• do not use the machine in "mulching"
mode when the grass is very tall;
• to cut the grass at a temperature
ranging between +5 and + 35 °C.

8.2.2 Recharging the battery

The energy needed to operate the machine is
provided by a battery, which requires proper
maintenance to ensure its efficiency and long life.
The machine battery must always be charged:
• Before using the machine for the
first time after purchase.
• When the minimum charge threshold
is reached (fig. 12.F).
• Before leaving the machine inactive
for any extended period of time
• At least once a month when in storage.
• Before starting up the machine after
a prolonged period of inactivity.
WARNING
When the battery is not connected to the
mains via the battery charger, the battery
charge decreases even if the machine is not
being used. If the batteries were to be drained
significantly, they could be severely damaged
to the point of being unusable. The warranty
does not cover damage resulting from a
battery that has not been charged regularly.
