that you do not need to make the setting in the decoder yourself. See the respective operating manual to
determine whether your decoder is compatible with automatic speed step setting and which speed steps
your decoder accepts.
 MAC-Address
MAC addresses (Media Access Control Address) is the term used to describe the hardware address of
device that is part of the network. Each device can be uniquely identified via its address.
 Z21 and Booster
They supply the model railway system with the necessary voltage and conduct the digital control signals
from the WLANmaus to the locomotives, turnouts and other digital accessories.

4.3 Tips, Information, and Shortcuts

The WLANmaus cannot be switched on.
The WLANmaus is switched on but the short
circuit and "STOP" symbol are illuminated.
Library or locomotive address mode:
Selected locomotive does not react
The radio symbol flashes.
Both of the "arrow" symbols and the pause
symbol are flashing, the radio symbol indicates
a connection
The readout of the decoder data
("PROGRAMMING" menu) triggers the mes-
sage "NO CONFIRMATION" in the display.
POM mode: Programming is confirmed,
but the decoder does not react to an altered
value
Resetting (Part 3, Chapter 3.3, page 63) of
the WLANmaus is not possible.

Check batteries and replace if necessary.
▪ A system short circuit has occurred (red LED at Z21
flashes).Press the STOP-key or the Z21-STOP-key

The power supply of the Z21 has been interrupted.
Check the transformer or the power supply unit.

the address in the locomotive decoder?

Has an emergency stop or selective emergency stop
been triggered?
▪ Select an address in locomotive address mode.

There is no connection with the WLAN router.

Ensure that the WLAN router is switched on.
▪ Check the WLAN settings.
▪ No communication with the Z21.

Check whether the Z21 is switched on.

▪ The decoder cannot be read out.

The WLANmaus is set to "POM" mode (Part 3, menu
item 2.5, page 61).
▪ Contact problems of the locomotive on the track?
▪ Decoder needs to be reset: Switch the track voltage
off and back on again using the STOP-key (emer-
gency stop). See the operating manual for the de-
coder.

Press -key and MENu-key simultaneously and
press OK-key briefly
▪
This resets the WLANmaus completely to the factory
settings. A reset also deletes the locomotive library
and should therefore only be carried out if abso-
lutely necessary.
