Vacuum clamping unit
Setting up and securing
- Secure the clamping unit to a stable, fl at, clean,
smooth surface of suffi cient size (recommended
set-up height: 60 - 90 cm).
The following options are available for securing
the unit:
Screws
• Secure the clamping unit to the work surface
using four screws. Use the four holes [5-1].
Clamping support
• Secure the clamping unit to the work surface
using the clamping support. The corners are
used as clamping surfaces.
Vacuum
The base surface must be absolutely fl at, smooth
and made from an airtight material.
• Slide the valve [6-1] into position [B] after con-
necting and switching on the vacuum pump.
Correct functioning is only guaranteed in the
end positions.
The vacuum force secures the clamping unit to
the base surface.
• To release the clamping unit, slide the valve [6-1]
to position [A].
• Make sure that the hose connected to the foot
valve and the vacuum pump do not pose a stum-
bling hazard.
Tilting the suction plate
• Release the clamp lever [7-1].
• Tilt the suction plate [7-2] to the required posi-

• Clamp the tilting housing by turning the clamp
lever [7-1] fi rmly in a clockwise direction.
Turning the suction plate
• Unscrew the rotary knob [8-1].
• Turn the suction plate [8-2] to the required posi-

• Clamp the suction plate by turning the rotary
knob [8-1] as required for the task in hand.
Allow the suction cup with attached workpiece
to rotate during work.
Changing the suction plate
Other suction plates are available in different
shapes and sizes as accessories, allowing you to
clamp a wider variety of workpieces.
• Position the suction plate in a vertical position
as shown in [Fig. 8].
• Unscrew the rotary knob [9-1].
• Pull out the locking pin [9-2] and rotate approx.
90°.
• Pull out the suction plate [9-3] while turning.
