• Do not use the appliance where it can get splashed by water
• To turn on the pizza oven just plug in the power cord into a grounded outlet wall socket. The
control light on the side of the pizza oven will switch on and the appliance will heat up immediately.
• Do not touch the appliance if it falls into water. Remove the plug from the wall socket immedia-
tely. Do not use the appliance any more.
• Make sure that the appliance has sufficient ventilation during operation.
• Unplug the socket from the wall socket to switch off the appliance.
• Clean the appliance after use (see 'Cleaning and maintenance').
• Never immerse the appliance, the plug or the power cord in water or other Iiquids.
• This appliance may not be used through an external timer or by means of a remote control.
• Do not use the appliance to heat or cook meat. Hot fat may drip on the heating element and
may cause fire.
• Never operate the unit when the dome is not on the appliance, covering both heating elements.
Cleaning and maintenance
• Allow the hot appliance to cool down at least 30 minutes before cleaning and storing.
• When hot, the terracotta dome must never come into contact with water or be placed on a cold
surface (danger of cracks). Allow the hot appliance to cool down before cleaning and storing.
• Normally, the terracotta dome does not have to be cleaned. If cleaning is necessary, use clear,
warm water and a brush.
• Caution: The terracotta dome is sensitive to breakage and is not suitable for a dishwasher.
• Rinse the baking sheet and pizza spatulas with warm water and a brush. Don't put any parts in
the dishwasher.
• Never submerge the base in water. The surface can be cleaned using a moist cloth.
• Always use the original box to store the appliance and its accessories to avoid damage.
• If the appliance is not to be used for some length of time, the baking sheet should be lightly
oiled or greased to prevent rust from forming.
