6.4 Doorseal fire

The door is sealed with a ceramic strip. In case of air leakage, more soot deposits are created on the glass pane. If
you establish leakage and your fire is sealed with a ceramic strip, please consult your dealer or expert. In case of a
sealing with springy stainless steel, see the description below.
Check the door sealing at least once a year for leakage.
!Caution
For the maintenance of the seals, please refer to the installation manual provided.
!Tip

6.5 Inner lining

At the bottom and on the side walls of the fire, heat-resistant plates are placed. These plates reflect the heat, have
an insulating effect and protect the steel plate walls of the fire. If cracks are created, for instance due to extreme
heat in the fire, this is not a problem. If lining plates are falling away from each other, they should be replaced.
For assembly and disassembly, please see the appliance specific installation manual.
Check the lining plates at least once per year for crack(s).
!Caution
Keep the old plate/plates as a reference for the dimensions of the new plate/plates.
!Tip
Ø
Remove the broken plate/plates, keep an eye on their order.
Ø
Place the new plate/plates in reverse order.
!Tip
To guarantee the operation of the fire, check whether the holes in the heat-resistant plates correspond.
!Caution

6.6 Glass pane

The fire has glass panes made of heat-resistant ceramic material.
Very small irregularities in the glass panes cannot be avoided and are within the specified quality standards.
!Caution
The glass pane is attached to the door by means of profiles or lips. After the fire has been burning a few times, a
little bit of play may occur at a glass pane. Tighten the nuts or press the clips tight when you notice the glass pane
getting a little bit of play. Do not overtighten the nuts, as overtightening will cause breakage.
When a glass pane is torn or broken, you must have it replaced.
Although the fire has a pane aeration system, there may still be deposits on the pane. Regularly remove any
deposits on the glass pane, using the glass pane cleaning agent supplied, as these deposits may burn into the glass
and will be difficult to remove.
!Caution
!Tip
The glass pane should absolutely not be placed in the glass container, as the ceramic material has a much higher
melting temperature than ordinary glass.

Mark the heat-resistant plates so that they can be replaced correctly (in the same location and orientation).
Always heat the appliance to capacity using suitable, dry wood. Always leave a minimum layer of ash on the
floor of the appliance. This lengthens the service life of the appliance's inner lining.
Regularly check the glass pane for cracks/tears.
Do not use corrosive and/or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the glass pane.
Do not overtighten the nuts that are used to fix the glass pane, as overtightening will cause breakage;
A broken ceramic pane must be disposed of with the regular domestic waste (see section 8.3).
To clean the glass pane, you may also use ceramic hob cleaner or copper cleaner.
