2. SAFETY

2.1 General

!CAUTION

2.2 Precautions / safety instructions

Carefully observe the following measures/regulations:
Your fire must be installed by a skilled, recognized installer of wood burning appliances.
!CAUTION
Have the fire installed in accordance with the applicable national, local and constructional (installation) regulations.
!CAUTION
The flue duct must be assessed in advance concerning its suitability for the appliance, and should be inspected
!Caution
and/or cleaned by a recognized specialist. Due to the utilisation of new, innovative techniques, the combustion
temperature is higher than it was in the past. Have the flue duct inspected and cleaned by a specialist, at least once
or twice per year. Only with a good duct, your fire will perform in a safe and faultless way.
In case of a combustible floor, you must place a fireproof floor plate under the appliance, which will be available at
!Caution
your supplier as an accessory.
Do not make any changes to the fire yourself.
!Caution
Only replace parts by original parts.
!Caution
Do not perform any work when the fire is still hot, wait at least 24 hours after use.
!CAUTION
Only burn the fire with the recommended fuel (see section 5.1).

Do not use the fire as a waste incinerator.
!Caution
The minimum distance between the fireplace/chimney pipes and combustible objects/materials stated on the data
!CAUTION
plate should be taken into account.
Do not place combustible materials under the appliance.
!CAUTION
Do not allow clothes, towels etc. to dry on and/or near the appliance, in order to prevent fire.
!CAUTION
Avoid contact with a burning fire in order to prevent burns and/or clothes catching fire.
!CAUTION
During use, the outside of the fire will become very hot. Therefore, you should use the supplied oven glove when

operating the fire.
Never leave children and persons who are unable to judge the consequences of their actions by themselves near a
!CAUTION
burning fire.
Avoid working with solvents, glue, PUR foam, etc. in the room during use of the fire.
!CAUTION
The fire is intended as atmospheric heating and is not developed for continuous use as main heating.
!Caution
The fire is not suitable for use as a barbecue.
!Caution
Make sure that there is an adequate supply of fresh air; if possible, this air may be supplied via an EA/RS connection.
!Caution
In case of a fire in the chimney, close the air supply, extinguish the wood fire with sand and call the fire brigade.
